Hello, my name is David Rowen and I am the director and principal chauffeur at A52 Executive Cars in Derby.
I initially started as a driver for a local company in 2007 after a work history as a chef and restauranteur. When our first child was born in 2002 I became a stay at home dad to bring up my son and fell into driving when i got licensed to help a friend out at a local taxi company. Finding the freedom of taxi driving enjoyable but unhappy with the level of service that I could provide within the taxi trade i eventually took the decision to buy my own vehicle and set up A52 Executive Cars.
A52 Executive Cars were formed in 2010 to service the business travel needs of local companies and offer a professional and discreet Mercedes based airport transfer and chauffeur service. Our current client base is varied and ranges from CEO’s of multinationals through to local holiday transfers, although our core business remains the transport of business travellers between airports, local businesses and hotels.
The company has shown growth every year up until the start of the pandemic, and we are now able to offer a range of Mercedes Vehicles including the Mercedes E Class, V Class MPV and our flagship long wheel based Mercedes S Class.
Outside of the work environment I play guitar in a local band and love all things do with cars, attending many motoring events around the country in my downtime.
I strongly believe in the ethos of the Guild of Professional Chauffeurs, and am proud to be have passed the strict assessment process and be able to call myself a member, and feel the Guild can only be a positive force on an industry that has had no formal accreditation for far too long.
